Rachel and David’s wedding day at the stunning Bowfield Hotel and Spa was every bit as heartfelt and joyful as you’d imagine. Tucked away in the Renfrewshire countryside, this charming venue offered the perfect blend of relaxed luxury and scenic beauty for their big day – and I was so lucky to be there to capture every moment from bridal prep right through to the first dances.

The morning began in one of Bowfield’s cosy suites, where Rachel and her bridal party shared laughter, bubbles, and those beautiful pre-ceremony nerves. It’s always such a privilege to photograph these quiet, meaningful moments – the details, the dresses, the emotion – all before the celebrations begin.

Their ceremony was filled with genuine emotion and personal touches that made it feel truly their own. Surrounded by their nearest and dearest, Rachel and David exchanged vows in a setting full of warmth and love.

Afterwards, we made the most of the rolling countryside views for their couple portraits. The soft Scottish light and the lush greenery made for a romantic, natural backdrop – and these two were absolute naturals in front of the camera. You could feel their connection in every image.

As the sun set, the atmosphere shifted into full-on celebration. From heartfelt speeches to their joyful first dances, the evening was filled with energy, love, and a whole lot of dancing. It’s always so special to capture that transition from ceremony to party – it’s where the candid magic really happens.
